My Hope

I wish everyone good health first of all. My story and my name I do hope is remembered by both women and men recovering from such a trauma as abortion and its nightmares.

My name is Sharon, and I did personally experience the pain of an abortion at the age of nineteen after one year of college. It will always be my conclusion that a lot of peer pressure helped cause me to make the final decision to abort, as well as get into the other troubles that I faced as a teenager.  However, I want to quickly add that my faith was and still does bring me through a lot of trials and tribulations. I do love spirituality and although I, at this day and age, do not always attend church quite regularly, may it be said I have learned that one should go according to their faith to any religion or denomination!

My circumstances that also caused me as a teenager to become involved with the wrong crowd might have been due to being an underprivileged child with not many advantages of, for instance, privileged and exclusive education. I have and still am a person who will ask questions regarding religious order, and I also became an Orthodox Muslim at one-time in my life

Now that I am older and still a Black and Afro- American woman, it is my hope that I will continue to heal and help other younger family members to make better choices in life. Perhaps I could even spend time at Rachel's Vineyard to continue my endeavors of a Pro -Life agenda and exhibit the need for good health to friends, as I know some of the impact that abortion can have on the health of those involved in this trauma both at a physical level and psychological level. Thank you!
