Restoring the Family

After 49 years of silence, I could no longer keep it a secret from my husband. At Beth Shalom Messianic Synagogue, Corona, CA, during Sanctity of Life month in January 2015, a woman gave her abortion testimony. She was a post-abortion counselor trained at Assure Pregnancy Clinic, Fontana, CA. It was a powerful testimony, and I felt God's Holy Spirit burning in my soul that it was time to acknowledge my aborted babies and give them the dignity they deserved.
I knew God had forgiven me through the precious blood of Jesus Christ, but I just couldn't forgive myself. Through the Forgiven and Set Free counseling, both my husband (who was the father of my two aborted babies) and I went through the counseling together. I was with the lady counselor and my husband was counseled with her husband (They were a wife and husband counseling team). They read Holy Scriptures of God's forgiveness and love for us through His precious Son's shedding of His blood as a sacrifice for us sinners. I also prayed for forgiveness from my aborted children. I believe they have forgiven me because, in Heaven, they live in God's presence and love.
I got the courage to tell my three adult daughters that they have three siblings in Heaven. They were very understanding and supportive. I still need to tell my adult son but am afraid how he will react.
We now have three Memorial Rocks with each baby's name written on them, a boy and a girl's name on each rock. We placed them proudly with the rest of my children's pictures in our living room. Our aborted children have now become part of our family, and we give thanks to our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus for restoring our family!
