Change, Hope, and Healing
Kentucky, United States

My name is Kelly and I am from Louisville, Kentucky and I would like to start by saying I know what women are going through who are considering or have had an abortion or abortions.  If you think abortion is the easy way out, I'm here to tell you it's not. Having three abortions has affected me not only psychologically, but emotionally and physically as well.
My mother encouraged me to have an abortion as the "solution" to my crisis pregnancy.  I believed that was OK since, after all, I was told that all I was carrying was a "blob of tissue."  At that time I had no relationship with God or knew the TRUTH of what God's Word says which states in Jeremiah 1:5, "Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you."  I thought there was no way I could have a baby and raise it all alone. What I was unaware of was that God states clearly in His Word from the book of Hebrews 13:5, "Never will I leave you, nor forsake you."

Not trusting God and deciding to do those heinous acts of abortion left me feeling empty on the inside which in turn led me to a raging drug addict and alcoholic. I've never completely recovered from the decisions that created a domino effect in my life of destruction due to the fact I had my first abortion starting in 1999.  Abortion is NOT the answer to an unwanted pregnancy. It is also easier to have a second or third abortion once you've had the first one.

Abortion is a LIE that makes you think it's the easy way out. If you've ever had an abortion you will eventually figure out it is by far NOT the easy way out.
When I had my abortions at the abortion clinic, I remember the cots of women being lined up in a row waiting to go back into the room where the doctor would then and there end the pregnancy.
Only a woman who has had an abortion can relate to the grief and regret that a woman carries with her everywhere she goes. Betrayal is what happens once you know the TRUTH about what abortion really is—which is NOT a "blob of tissue”—but in fact a living, pre-born baby. That is the ultimate slap in the face when you face the reality of it and leaves a woman who has experienced such a thing feeling very robbed and bitter.
But because we, and that includes every human being, have a God who is Mighty, Merciful, and Compassionate and who desires more than anything else for us to have a relationship with HIM, He lovingly shows us the TRUTH about being forgiven if we truly repent and turn from our wicked ways. That is why I choose to be Silent No More so that maybe I could bring change, hope, and healing to some other woman who is or have confronted abortion.  Now is the time to "CHOOSE LIFE."
Abortion clinics are nothing more than slaughter houses and God's Word says in Proverbs 24:11 we are to "rescue those being led away to death; hold back those staggering towards slaughter."
Please remember that there can be no forgiveness for the shedding of innocent blood, except by the shedding of innocent blood on the cross of Jesus Christ. Thank you.
