We have really exciting news!!! We are partnering with the 40 Days for Life Campaign on March 10th for a special Silent No More Awareness DAY!

Many of you have heard of and participated in the 40 Days for Life Campaign www.40DaysforLife.com . (40 Days for Life consists of 40 days of prayer and fasting for an end to abortion, 40 days of constant, peaceful vigil outside abortion centers and Planned Parenthood offices and 40 days of active pro-life community outreach.) February 25th is the beginning of this spring's 40 Days for Life Campaign.

Why March 10th? As some of you might be aware, March 10th is designated by the abortion industry as a "Thank Your Abortion Provider Day".  They encourage women to actually send thank you notes to their abortion provider. But we know by your testimonies, you do NOT share these sentiments about the doctor that performed your abortion.

So what we want to do is on March 10 encourage men and women like you, who have registered with the Silent No More Awareness Campaign to come out to the abortion clinics, with our Silent No More "I Regret My Abortion" and "I Regret Lost Fatherhood" signs and pray with the 40 Days for Life people to say, no we do not thank our abortion providers and challenge them to listen to our voices that share the negative consequences that abortion had on us. (We’ll be praying also that the abortion provider will have a conversion of heart to stop performing abortion.)

Go online to https://www.40daysforlife.com/location.cfm to see if there is a 40 Days program in your city and get in touch with the leader so you can participate. As the co-founders of Silent No More, we really need each of you to be at one of the 40 Days for Life locations. If you know of someone who is Silent No More in a city listed - get in touch with them and get them involved too.  This is a great opportunity to rally your community to our message and build momentum for future Gatherings.

We decided to do this because Andrea Hines and Katherine Hearn as Silent No More Regional Coordinators and 40 Days for Life Leaders put the two efforts together in their community. They said, “During the last 40 Days for Life prayer vigil in Charlotte, NC, one of the days was designated as "Silent No More Day." It was a day that we asked those from our community that were post-abortive to bring their sign and join us for prayer at the local abortion clinic. The message of "I Regret My Abortion" during the vigil helps remind us of those that have been devastated by abortion in the past, those that are being devastated by abortion right in front of us at the abortion clinic, and the generations that will hopefully, be spared this devastation in the future. It is the post-abortive, many which have not received healing, among us in our churches, our vigils, and our families, that is one of the most important mission fields today. We believe that by SNM uniting together with the 40 Days for Life vigils on March 10, our specific prayer for a great outbreak of healing and recovery in the lives of the post-abortive will provide a great vision for what the Lord can and will do!”

We hope their inspirational words will motivate you to action. While you may not be ready to publicly talk about your abortion, your witness holding the "I Regret My Abortion" & "I Regret Lost Fatherhood" signs can make a difference for life. To request a sign contact Georgette at 412-749-0455 or email her your testimony and shipping address to georgette@silentnomore.com.

If you can't participate in a 40 Days event on March 10th, please join us in praying for the Silent No More Awareness Campaign message to be heard, those still suffering in silence and the abortion providers to experience the love and redemption offered to them through the Gospel of life.

Post-Abortive Women and 40 Days for Life Campaign Collaborate on March 10

March 5, 2009

Staten Island, NY – The Silent No More Awareness Campaign (SNMAC), the world’s largest network of women and men harmed by abortion, will collaborate with the 40 Days for Life campaign on March 10 to testify to the physical and emotional damage wrought by the abortion industry.

“We will stand with those in the 40 Days for Life vigils outside abortion businesses to let women know that abortion doesn’t end a problem, it creates a lifetime of new ones,” said Janet Morana, co-founder of SNMAC. “We will bear witness that the abortionist’s tools don’t just attack an unborn child’s body, they attack a woman’s soul.”

The 40 Days for Life campaign participants are currently fasting and praying, keeping vigil outside abortion clinics and Planned Parenthood offices, and engaging in outreach to 130 communities until April 5 with the goal of ending abortion. The 40 Days campaign has designated March 10 as Silent No More Awareness Day. The Silent No More Awareness Campaign holds regular gatherings throughout the year in cities worldwide.

“The abortion industry says that March 10 is ‘Thank Your Abortion Provider Day,’” added Georgette Forney, another co-founder of SNMAC, “which has to be the worst idea since Planned Parenthood offered Christmas gift certificates for abortion. We will reclaim that day by sending a different message to our abortion providers – stop the lies, put down your killing tools, and seek forgiveness.”

Since the launching of the Silent No More Awareness Campaign in 2003, 2,809 women and men have shared their testimonies publicly at over 348 gatherings in 44 states and seven countries where more than 43,000 spectators have heard the truth about abortion’s negative aftereffects. More than 6,100 people are registered to be Silent No More. Raising awareness about the hurtful aftermath of abortion and the help that is available to cope with the pain are two of the Campaign’s goals.
