I had an abortion because I was not married & the father was not around anymore. During the abortion procedure I experienced a considerable amount of pain & felt like no one cared. Immediately after the abortion I felt like I had made a terrible mistake but it was too late. I remember crying but no one even seemed to notice. As time went on after the abortion I tried to forget that it ever happened & pretty much succeeded for many years. But eventually I couldn't deal with the feelings of guilt & remorse anymore. I found help and forgiveness through Rachel's Vineyard. It was particularly helpful to share with other women who had also had abortions.
